Saudi Heat

Saudi Arabia intrigues with its exoticism, irritating at the same time with its unreadiness to accept tourists. Traveling around the country requires renting a car, being ready to drive among nightmare drivers, and adapting to very high temperatures.

While during the day an air-conditioned car can be used as a shelter, you have to be ready for hundreds of kilometers through rocky or sandy deserts with no gas station in sight. What's worse, many stations make card payments hard. Without supplies, you can end up in the middle of nowhere.
