Scratched over Tunisia
Before going to Tunisia, I expected a country that lives off tourists and is designed for them in many places.
Visiting La Marsa and Tunis surprised me a lot. Walking through neighborhoods or beaches, my attention was caught by cracking buildings, abandoned hotels and a general sense of disintegration.
I did not find a relevance for my feelings in the statistics related to tourism. Tourists are flocking to country that has faced a terrorist attack and years of lockdown in just the last decade. Maybe it's the low price that attracts vacationers?
